When looking and applying for scholarships, start at your school (the less applicants to compete against the better!), then branch out locally and nationally.
A lot of your financial aid and scholarships will come directly from your college/university, so be sure to gather info from their website or admission counselor. Make note of their scholarship/financial aid deadlines, which many times are earlier than their application deadline!
